I was trained in photojournalism by Paul Delmar under the N.C.T.J. Programme in Sheffield and graduated winning the 1989 'Dennis Steven Award for Student Portfolio of the Year'. Thereafter, based in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and London, I worked on staff for the Mercury Press and London News Service agencies as a commissioned and freelance contributor to UK regional and national newspapers. Latterly, after a two year contract as Deputy Picture Desk Editor with The (Evening) News, Portsmouth, I relocated to France to work in tourism PR exclusively for two independent UK tour operators.
