As usual James meets me off the train and provides coffee and chocolate as we chat about the shoot plan. It builds confidence that he always plans ahead, sending inspo shot ideas and recommendations for clothing. This session started with floor work and partials heading toward full suspension, flying in rope is my favourite thing. James is extremely knowledgeable about rope suspensions and very careful about any risks and the health and safety of his models. Nothing is left to chance. He is also a very creative photographer and after the suspension photos were completed, under a watchful eye, he left me to relax and enjoy flying in the ropes for a while. Although I had been quite work stressed when I arrived, this just drifted away leaving my flying in rope subspace. My day ending in an unexpected experimental predicament scene.  "I had a fun shoot with James today. I answered his casting call about a week ago as I was keen to do more experimental/beauty style photos and visit a friend in Glasgow this week. Unfortunately my plans in Glasgow fell through and James very sweetly offered to pick me up from the station as getting to Kilmarnock looked more difficult than I'd anticipated. The shoot was quick and easy, and James was very conscious of making sure I was comfortable as I mentioned prior that I suffer from chronic joint pain. I like the look of the photos we took from the back of the camera and am glad his experimental lighting techniques were successful (not always the case). Would recommend and work with again! "

From the start we got on like a house on fire, he was friendly and chatty and after a cuppa we got straight into creating the beautiful images. We managed a good few scenes in the time we were together and I had my first suspension which is definitely a unique sensation and one I’m keen to try again.  I had my first shoot/rope session with James yesterday and I must say I really enjoyed the experience. Communication pre-shoot was really good.
